Graphophone lets you note how you feel in one tap, then quietly turns those notes into a picture of your emotional arc — on the calendar, across the year, and in your insights. Everything here is computed on your device from your own encrypted entries; no mood data ever leaves it.
Logging a mood
While writing an entry, tap one of the five mood levels — from Very low to Great. It's optional and takes a second; a light tap confirms it. Tapping the level you already chose clears it again. Your mood is stored as part of the entry (encrypted with everything else), so it travels with the writing it belongs to rather than as a separate tracker.
The mood-coloured calendar
Open Browse by date and each day is gently tinted by how it felt on average — a quiet "mood map" of the month. Colour is only ever a supplement: every day also names its mood in an accessible label, and a key appears once a month has any mood logged. Tap the month title to jump to any month; tap a day to read what you wrote.
Year in pixels
From the calendar, open Year in pixels for the whole year as one grid of coloured days — the shape of a year at a glance. Page back through earlier years, or tap "This year" to return. Like the calendar, the colour is backed by a spoken summary for screen readers.
Trends & what lifts your mood
In Insights, for the week, month, or year you'll see your average mood, a sparkline of how it moved day to day, and "what lifts your mood" — the tags whose entries scored highest on average, each tappable to read those entries. It's a calm, on-device way to notice what actually correlates with feeling good, without anything being inferred off your device.
Browse by mood
Tap a colour in the calendar's mood key (or a tag in "what lifts your mood") to pull up every entry logged that way — "show me my good days" — with a count of how many there are.
Privacy
Mood is just a tag on an entry, sealed inside the same on-device encryption as your writing. Every average, tint, trend, and correlation above is computed locally — Graphophone never sends your moods anywhere, and it's all included in your Markdown export, so there's no lock-in.
